You would think they would have learned after the class action settlement last year, but no, money hungry at its finest! I deleted my entire return and switched to Credit Karma, where not only is it 100% FREE, but I also got back $200 more, and they didn't charge me $40 to take my $40 "FREE" return fee out of my refund! It's says the box should be left blank, it already has a zero in it, but when you erase the zero (that you didn't add to begin with) it still doesn't let you proceed, and tells you to mail in a paper return. I've seen multiple reviews with the same issue I was having when trying to file, once they go back to review your returns, they will make you go back to "correct" deferral that doesn't even exist. The last couple of years have been a nightmare, especially this year. I've been using TurboTax for my personal taxes since they came out, and I have also filed all of my family & friends personal taxes with them for many years. I don't usually write reviews but my experience with TurboTax was so bad that I had to rant about it somewhere.

This would have been frustrating but fine if not for the fact that it has now been four weeks, $200, and several automated voice mail greetings later and I have still not received so much as an update from IT. When I occasionally get through to an agent they tell me that 'IT will look into it and get back to you'. Nearly 80% of the time the call ends in the system hanging up on me after an extensive 'tell me why you are calling' loop. It has been four weeks now since I first requested to see my tax return and each time I call I am greeted by the most horrendous (yes, worse than USPS) automated voice mail systems. I feel i made a mistake and can't trust TurboTax!
